he Master's Degree Program in Marketing (MIM) , instituted in 1983, is Thailand's
first  graduate program in  Marketing  conducted  in English. The   MIM  Program is
aimed at providing  advanced and depth    learning   in Marketing  areas and has

The  MIM   Program   is  an    evening   two-year  program. Classes   are   normally
conducted on  weekdays   from   18.30 - 21.30 hrs. three - four evenings per week.
Class formats are the mixture of lectures and discussions, case studies, marketing
simulation  games,  class presentation,   project  work,  and  field  trips   to  various
companies. Each is used in a manner as to accomplish the goals of a given course.

                 The   MIM   curriculum    is   specifically
designed  to  develop   specialized  marketing
and problem-solving skills that can be used to
address    immediate   business   concerns.  It
represents  a  strategic  balance  between the
science of analysis and the art of implementation
and provides an educational experience unique,
not only in its focus on marketing, but also its

international perspective.
The  thesis  is  replaced by  Project  Work  in  Marketing  which requires
students to address  complex  marketing   challenges  in  the  realistic  context  of
bringing    a  new  product  or  service  to  the  market. Students stand a chance to
engage their projects in The world-class business plan competition (MOOT Corp)
held annually in the U.S.A.
In 1999, a team from MIM achieved international standing in the worldwide
Entrepreneurial business competition (MOOT Corp)  at the  University of Texas at
Austin. Inc. Magazine described the MIM's business plan as  "Best Business Plan
On Planet".
