Facilities

The Campus

Thammsat University has three campuses, Tha Prachan Campus (Main Campus), Rangsit Campus, and Lampang Campus.

The Main Campus at Tha Prachan was founded in 1934.This campus houses serveral faculties including the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy. All newly established faculties are located at the new campuses which are "Rangsit Campus", north of Bangkok, and "Lampang Campus" in northern Thailand.

Since the main campus is situated in the old part of Bangkok surrounded by tourist attractions such as the Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, National Theatre and National Museum, the University is frequently visited by people from all parts of the world.

The limited space of the main campus does not permit the University to organize Student Housing on campus. However, accommodation for foreign students, within walking distance, can be arranged by the Office of International Affairs.

Library

The Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy has two libraries for its students: the Faculty's Main Library and Professor Sangvian Library.

The Faculty's Main Library hosts a large collection of textbook in business while Professor Sangvian Library serves varieties of world-class periodicals and as audio visual lab.

Students must apply for membership with the Faculty's Main Library to be entitled to all the services from both Faculty's libraries. With the Faculty's library cards, students will be automatically entitled to use the services from other faculties' libraries.

The University Library, named Pridi Banomyong Library, is one of Thailand's largest academic libraries with collections of over 800,000 books. A large amount of books and periodicals of all fields are available here. Other kinds of services are also provided, such as the computerized database searching, the Computer Lab, as well as the Audiovisual Lab.

Open hours:

Monday – Friday : 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday : 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Sport Facilities

Thammasat Main Campus has indoor badminton and basketball courts. Student can also check out sport equipment from the sports center located at the Students Activity Building.

More indoor sports and out door swimming pool are available at Talingchan recreational center, thirty minutes from the main campus. For serious athletes, Rangsit Campus provides you with a world-class sport complex which hosted the 1998 Asian Games.

Computer Facilities

The facilities of the Computer Center, located on the second floor of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, are available for students doing course work and research. The Computer Center is equipped with a broad range of research and teaching oriented software and offers facilities in all major computer languages.

Students must apply for membership with the Computer Center in order to obtain the personal code to be used when making contacts with Computer Center.

Thammasat University Bookstore

Thammasat University Bookstore caters to the needs of the students and the public by providing a one-stop shopping for books and stationary at reasonable prices. The published materials cover journals, research publications, magazines, novels, children's books, etc. Souvenirs are also provided.

Food Service

It is very easy to find a food shop on- and off-campus.

On-campus cafeterias are located besides the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy and at the Anek Prasong II Building. They are great places when the budget becomes tight.

Most off-campus food stores offer one-dish Thai food including fried rice, rice with side dished, and noodles.  You can find Japanese Noodle closed to Tha Prachan Pier.
