During 10-13 November 2005, around 70 students from MIM Class XVIII went on their business trip to Doi Angkhang in Fang District of Chiang Mai Province. The trip started at Royal Angkhang Agricultural Station which is the Project under the auspices of HM King Bhumibol. It focuses on developing a wider variety of marketable produce for the local hill tribes which were previously cash-poor and dependant on growing illegal opium as their major source of income.

After the briefing at the station, students had the chance to visit Khob Dong village school where the donation of blankets, towels and some sanitary equipment have been made to the school children who are mainly Muser and Parong. As a gesture of appreciation, they performed some traditional hill tribe dance and stage show for the MIM group.

The students also had the chance to walk from Khob Dong village to Nor Lae village which is about 5 kms apart. During the walk, students enjoyed seeing the tea plantation and local agricultural system, developed by the help and support from the Royal projects, which could enable the hill tribe people in the area to farm their lands effectively all year round.
