Thammasat University’s RubberWay won second runner-up at Stuart Clark Venture Challenge 2006

Thammsat University’s RubberWay won second runner-up at Stuart Clark Venture Challenge 2006, the biggest business plan competition in Canada, held by University of Manitoba from April 6 – 8, 2006.
RubberWay, who last month finished second in Sasin Asian Moot Corp Competition 2006 held in Bangkok, was the only Asian team invited to this competition. Among competing teams were top-class American and Canadian universities such as Carnegie Mellon University, University of Oregon, University of Illinois, to name a few.
RubberWay, with R-Speed ITM, introduced the first ever-patented battery-operated rubber tapping device with rotating blade, aims to modernize the age-old manual rubber tapping process, offering 40% labor saving, 44% higher production yield and 67% higher income.
The members in RubberWay are Mr. Pairoj Jongprasanwong, Mr. Nathasit Wajasittisilp, Ms. Nuttha Prathuangsuksri and Ms. Mayura Phitaksuksanti, all of them are students at the Master’s Degree Program in Marketing (MIM), Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasat University.
